2024 APCERT & FIRST Regional Symposium for Asia Pacific
Taipei (TW), November 7-8, 2024
Co-hosted and Co-organized by APCERT
FIRST will be hosting its Regional Symposium for Asia-Pacific in conjunction with the APCERT Annual General Meeting in Taipei, Taiwan, on November 7 & 8, 2024 at the Taipei Marriott Hotel.
The program will include one open day of plenary sessions on November 7 and training on November 8. Separate registration is required to attend both activities. Please see the Registration section for additional details.
This joint effort aims to facilitate global collaboration and to provide opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and the strengthening of our collective cybersecurity efforts. We look forward to welcoming participants from around the world and advancing a safe, clean, and reliable cyberspace in the Asia Pacific.

Call for Speakers - Closes September 12
APCERT and FIRST are seeking speakers to share the latest insights and developments in incident response and cybersecurity at the open FIRST symposium on November 7, strengthening our joint capacity to address cyber threats.
Please note that "Call for Speakers" closes on September 12.
SUGGESTED TOPICS
With the theme, “Power of Together: More Than the Sum of AP CERTs/CSIRTs,” we welcome submissions on the following topics, but not limited to:
- Threat Trends: Evolving Threat Landscape, Sophisticated Hacking Groups, Sector-based (Financial, Energy, etc.), Regional (Asia-Pacific) Threat
- Threat Intelligence and Analysis: Analysis Mechanisms & Techniques (Tools, Applications, Platforms), Cross-Domain Intelligence Integration (IT, OT)
- Emerging Technologies: New Types of Attacks and Defenses, AI Applications & Threats, Zero Trust Architecture, Cloud Security, Quantum Computing, Post-quantum Computing Encryption, etc.
- Governance and Management: Risk Management, CSIRT Maturity Evaluation, Training/ Awareness Program, etc.
- Collaboration Model: Vulnerabilities Disclosure & Coordination, Cross-sector Collaboration, Cross-border Cyber Drills, Cross-border Informational Sharing & Incident Response, etc.
The language spoken at the conference is English.
How to Apply
To apply, please use the link below to access the Call for Speakers submission form on the APCERT 2024 AGM & Conference website. Submissions are eligible for the FIRST symposium on November 7.
There is no fee to to attend on November 7. Accepted speakers will be provided with registration instructions. Travel and accommodations are not included.
Registration
Open Plenary on November 7
Registration for the open plenary on November 7 should be submitted via the APCERT 2024 Conference registration form. There is no fee to attend the open plenary sessions on November 7. *If you are not a member of APCERT, please click on the button to register without a verification code.
Training on November 8
Seating is limited. A separate registration is required to particpate. There is a flat admission fee of US$175 to attend.
