FIRST is partnering with the Pacific Cyber Security Operational Network (PaCSON) to organize a Regional Symposium for the Pacific in Port Vila, Vanuatu from September 20 to 22, 2023.
This event aims to bring together the Pacific incident response and operational cybersecurity communities to share information and good practice; attend hands-on training; and foster connection and collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups in the region.
The event will be taking place alongside the PaCSON Annual General Meeting September 18 to 20.
Special thanks to the strong support and sponsorship from the PaCSON Secretariat, U.S. State Department, APNIC Foundation, and our generous hosts and partners at the Government of Vanuatu, Office of the Government CIO (OGCIO), and CERT VU.
Due to limited capacity, the event will be by invitation and application only.
The Pacific Regional Symposium will be an in-person event over 2.5 days. The agenda will include plenary sessions with presentations as well as hands-on training workshops. While there is flexibility in the program, we suggest presentations of 30, 45, or 60 min and half or full day training workshops.
We look forward to your presentation and training proposals.
The Program Committee welcomes all topics of relevance and interest to the Pacific operational cybersecurity community. The Committee has identified the following topics of particular note for this Symposium.
The Program Committee will peer-review all proposals and reserves the right to adapt or restructure submissions to ensure an interesting and compelling program. Marketing presentations will not be considered.
