FIRST releases 2017-2018 Annual Report

The Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams releases its second annual report, covering the scope of its activities from the 2017 conference in Puerto Rico, through its 2018 annual event in Kuala Lumpur.

June 19th, 2018 – The Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) today announced the release of its annual report, covering one year of activities supporting the incident response community.

This document covers its activity in its special interest groups, its work to develop standards, and the various events organized throughout the year. In addition, the report covers a brief financial update, and an overview of the infrastructure investment the organization has made in the last year.

The report was edited by Thomas Schreck, Chair of FIRST. He said: “With the Annual Reports, we hope to reach both existing members of FIRST, and potential future members or people who want to learn more about our organization. It reflects on our progress in achieving our organization’s goals: building a global incident response community where working together is not just something we strive towards, but the standard mode of operation.”

This year’s report covers the year of June 2017 through June of 2018.

The report has been made available at https://www.first.org/about/reports/FIRST-Annual-Report-2017-2018.pdf.
