Training on Fundamentals of Cyber Threat Intelligence successfully delivered at the International Information Technology University (IITU), Almaty, Kazakhstan

Capacity building is a crucial area of focus at FIRST. In addition to various workshops scheduled pre-conference, FIRST also engages with multiple stakeholders to organize on-site training.

FIRST Liaison Swapneel Patnekar, India, successfully delivered the Fundamentals of Cyber Threat Intelligence training over two days, May 14th and 15th, at the International Information Technology University (IITU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The training covers various methodologies and frameworks such as the Cyber kill chain, the Diamond model, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework. The training is developed by the Cyber Threat Intelligence SIG at FIRST.

A total of 26 participants attended the two-day training and were a good mix of cybersecurity professionals and academicians.

This is the first training organized in Central Asia, and FIRST is looking forward to capacity building in the area.

Kudos to the trainer: Swapneel Patnekar.
