IMPORTANT: Heads-Up on VAT for FIRST for all events in EUROPE from 2025 onward

As we are in times of social engineering, spoofing, and fake invoices, the FIRST organization is announcing a change that may be seen as a scam, but it is NOT!

In order to follow European Union regulations FIRST is required to collect VAT on registration fees and sponsorship for all events in Europe. In order to do so, FIRST sealed a contract with VMC, a company based in France who specializes in VAT management.

Members will receive an Email with detailed information at a later point. The information can also be found on the registration and confirmation forms.

In any case, if you or your finance department has any doubt, please liaise with the FIRST events team (events@first.org).

The invoice for your participation shall be issued by VMC, 1 Rond-point de l’Europe, 92250 La Garenne-Colombes/ France;
Your legal invoice will be emailed to you directly from VMC within 1-2 weeks of your registration receipt.

All VAT details (including VAT number) will be available on the event pages of the FIRST website.

Reminder #1: This only applies to event registrations, NOT to annual fees.
Reminder #2: In case of doubt, please liaise with FIRST secretariat.
