The third annual Cybersecurity for Developing Nations Conference and FIRST TC is one of the premier conferences in the world of international development. Sponsored by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and FIRST, the conference provides an open forum for development policy decision makers in government, academia, private industry and NGOs to discuss their ideas for improving cybersecurity and resiliency for critical national infrastructure in developing nations. The event also features a TC/technical track designed to build capacity in the critical skills of cyber-incident response.
Participants in the technical workshops will receive 2 days of technical presentations in cyber-incident response, which they can then use to improve the cyber-response capabilities in their home countries.
The event will take place November 7-9 in beautiful Podgorica, Montenegro. The local rivers and bridges include the modern Millennium Bridge over the Morača River, and the stone bridge spanning the Ribnica River. A centuries-old Clock Tower, dating to the Ottoman Empire, dominates the old town. In the Zeta-Skadar valley south of the city, Lake Skadar National Park is home to medieval monasteries and beaches. The city is also close to winter ski centres in the north and seaside resorts on the Adriatic Sea.
Registration to this event is now closed.
The event will be held at the Ramada Hotel which is situated in the heart of the city and only a 15 minute drive from the Podgorica International Airport (TGD). The hotel has shuttles to and from the airport.
Participants planning to stay in the venue hotel, may be eligible for a special rate of EUR 65 / night for a standard room while supply lasts. Participants should inquire about the special ‘UNDP rate’ at the time of booking (by phone or email) by informing the hotel they are attending UNDP conference on Cybersecurity for Developing Nations.
