Call for Presentations
FIRST is looking for speakers that would like to present at the Energy Symposium. We would like presenters who are willing to share case studies and lessons learned on attacks or malware and CSIRT work and tools.
Topics For Discussion
The Symposium Committee invites practitioners and academics worldwide to submit abstracts for review and presentation within the topics related to Incident Response In the Energy Sector. The conference may not be organized around traditional functionally oriented tracks, but broader topical concentrations. The areas listed below are but examples and the conference encourages innovative, forward-thinking submissions.
Topic Areas of Interest:
- Energy Incident Response Management Best Practices, Policies and Procedures
- Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing
- Malware Analysis
- Security of Industrial Control Systems Used in the Energy Sector
- The Intersection of Incident Response and Digital Forensics
- Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery
- Incident Response Program Development
- Technology Evaluation and Selection
For your submission, please provide the following information to energy-symposium@first.org by August 23rd.
- Title;
- Brief Summary (Abstract);
- Presenter's Name and Affiliation;
- Estimated Duration of Presentation.
Abstracts will be reviewed and authors notified of decisions by September 5, 2013.
Submission Notes:
- Proposals must be in English.
- Proposals should describe original work.
- All proposals must be non-sales or marketing orientated.
- Generally, FIRST does not pay per diem, honoraria, or expenses.
