Call for Papers

The FIRST Symposium will be co-located with APCERT AGM & Conference 2018.

The audience is expected to be comprised of FIRST members, CSIRTs from the Asia-Pacific Region that are not members yet, plus network operators and security professionals from the Asia-Pacific region.

We are seeking for colleagues interested in presenting during the FIRST Symposium, 25 October, 2018. Some suggested topics are as follows:

• Case studies and lessons learned in incident handling
• Attacks detection, mitigation and remediation
• Network monitoring, situation awareness, etc., related with security topics
• Attack trend updates (malware, bots, DDoS, etc.)
• DNS, IPv6 and routing security and best practices
• Digital forensics applied to incident handling
• Malware analysis, anti-virus evasion, etc.
• Security and Internet of Things (IoT)
• Impact of data breaches, privacy and data protection regulation on incident handling

• Incident response tools, trends and security technologies
• Security awareness initiatives
• Internet governance and policy development
• Other topics relevant to incident handling

Accepted speakers will be provided one complimentary registration to attend the FIRST Symposium on 25 October 2018.

Deadline: August 21^st 2018

Please provide the following in your submission:

• Presentation Title
• Abstract (brief 1-2 paragraphs)
• Presenter's Name(s), Affiliation, and Brief Biography (1-2 paragraphs)
• Estimated Time ( 30min – 45min )
